THE DEALERIn the world of Oregon Social Gaming, we are all "Members" of our respective "Club".
Both "Players", and that group of individuals that participate and contribute their services as the "KC Dealers".
Not a simple world a "Dealer" navigates:
We could simply pass the deal around the table, but then we'd all hopefully smile while we suffered through flashed cards, wrong math, excruciatingly slow pots, "burn and turn errors", dropped decks, etc, et al ...
Then there is the adversarial nature of the game itself, and the emotions that can run with bankroll swings and ugly "beats" ... I once had an ash tray thrown at myself after a particularly nasty one ...
Through all, the Dealer motors on efficiently, at a nice comfortable fluid pace. Respectful of those that are stuck and eager for that next hand to get even with ... with few if any mistakes, but most importantly:
The premier "Dealer" understands that the number one objective, is to get through these obligations,
without "influencing the game" ...
The Players are there to "play" -- to garner information, and to cajole action. This is their arena, and any chips in the pot or cards in the muck, result NOT from a Dealer's "persuasion" ...
